Our day begins with an orientation tour past Toronto's sprawling Queens Park, stately University Avenue and the Provincial Parliament Buildings. We continue to Kingston, a 17th-century former French trading post and gateway to a Thousand Islands. This evening, we set sail on our dinner cruise against the backdrop of pretty riverside cottages and uninhabited islands.
Arriving in Ottawa, we embark on an introductory tour of Canada's capital. You'll have a full afternoon to explore the city on your terms. Consider a visit to one of the city's museums or join an optional experience, the Oh Canada, Eh? dinner show.

Uncover The Traditions Of Quebec City
A quick hop over the Ottawa River brings us in the French-speaking Province of Québec for a private, exclusive experience on the grounds of the Canadian Museum of History. Canada's Museum of History is the country's foremost and most visited museum. We will start with a Continental Breakfast followed by a lively and colorful interactive performance of traditional Pow Wow dancing. You will also enjoy an interactive beading workshop using authentic materials. We then learn about a special MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® experience about the Manitobah Mukluks Storyboot Project, which aims to revive the traditional arts by creating partnerships with elders and artisans. After we will enjoy lunch at a typical sugar shack at a local "Cabane a Sucre". Then continue to Québec City to begin your love affair with the city's French Canadian joie de vivre and your hotel in Old Québec.

Join us for a special evening on the Ile d’Orleans. Located a few miles east of downtown Quebec in the St. Lawrence River, the “Island of Orleans” was one of the first areas occupied by early French colonists. Gaze upon the towering Montmorency Falls; higher than the Niagara Falls, the impressive Montmorency Falls stand 83 meters (272 feet) tall. The falls form at the mouth of the Montmorency River, where it drops over a cliff into the St. Lawrence River. Then travel through the rolling farmlands to the south side of the island and stop for a dinner at Le Moulin de Saint-Laurent Restaurant with renowned Chef Martin Pronovost, who has been nominated for a Crystal Award in the category `Canadian Chef of the Year` in both 2010 and 2011. Leave the city behind, bound for Québec's picturesque Eastern Townships. Your journey will take you past pretty villages and rolling farmlands before arriving at Domaine Ives Hill for an exclusive Be My Guest lunch. Connect With Locals and learn how black currants are farmed, picked and processed into a variety of beverages. You’ll have an opportunity to make your own black currant tea and enjoy a fruity sangria, followed by a hearty lunch of locally sourced ingredients. Later, we’ll make our way to Montréal and admire panoramic city views from its namesake, Mount Royal.

If you like to tour cities, this is a trip for you. Day after arriving home both of us came down with the flu even though we had had flu shots. Ship was very mindful of germs but somehow they got us.
The itinerary was great with the land content from Trafalgar and the cruise from Holland America. It was great to follow up the more fast paced coach tour with the quite relaxing pace of the cruise.
Our Tour Director Sheryl and coach driver Ron were an exceptional team committed to making our holiday exceptional. Ron always made sure that the windows were clean. Sheryl also ensured that our "down time" on the coach was as enjoyable as possible too. She obviously has always listened to her travellers and has broad general knowledge not only of her own country but of other countries and cultures as well. We enjoyed our holiday immensely and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Trafalgar to our friends.
The druve and cheryl the tour did a great job both were amazing this was our second trip with trafalgar will be doing another with cheryl if possibe would diffentlt be dgaring the word fir prople to use trafalgar

What is an Active Trip? This is an "Active" lifestyle itinerary, with walks and hikes most days. Hikes will range from easy/moderate to strenuous. No technical climbing skills are required but a reasonable level of fitness is required to make the trip more enjoyable. Understanding that not all people want to hike at the same pace or even on the same trail we will, where possible, host map orientation and then let everyone disperse to enjoy the trails best suited to them.
What to Pack Guests should bring lightweight hiking shoes or boots, broad brimmed sun hats, sunglasses, layered clothing, reusable water bottle(s), a hiking day pack and hiking poles (optional) Weather & Altitude While the itinerary is laid out below, we are at the mercy of the weather and so reserve the right to adjust the program as necessary. Please keep in mind that the higher elevations and possible variations in weather and temperature can increase the perceived level of difficulty of our activities. Elevation ranges up to 9,000 feet for Utah’s Mighty Five and up to 11,000 feet for California High Country Adventure.
Everyone reacts differently to altitude and so if you do have any health issues you should check with your doctor that this trip is suitable for you.
