I really loved all the sights we saw! I had never been to any of the places and I learned so much about our country. It gave me such an understanding and appreciation of the struggles that our forefathers endured! So fascinating!
We had a very bad experience with our coach driver. Kristin M spent all of her time directing the driver how to go and even with that the driver would make wrong turns…and because of that we wasted a lot of time driving around trying to get back on track. We were sitting in the front seat on the second day and several times we came way too close to cars when she made a quick turn because she wasn’t listening to Kristin. I was VERY worried for our safety. BUT Kristin handled it very well and got us a new driver. Ron was fantastic and was an awesome driver and we felt very safe with him behind the wheel. He knew where he was going and needed no assistance from Kristin which freed her up to point out things a long the way, talk about our itinerary and do some fun things on long travel days! Kristin O, the wellness person, was a great addition as well. She did a great job making sure we were covid compliant and was another cheerful and helpful person on the team. We were very disappointed in the beginning of the trip but the situation was handled well and the problem was taken care of professionally. Ron, our new driver, was a wonderful, professional addition to the team. For those reasons, I still rated the trip as excellent.

What is an Active Trip? This is an "Active" lifestyle itinerary, with walks and hikes most days. Hikes will range from easy/moderate to strenuous. No technical climbing skills are required but a reasonable level of fitness is required to make the trip more enjoyable. Understanding that not all people want to hike at the same pace or even on the same trail we will, where possible, host map orientation and then let everyone disperse to enjoy the trails best suited to them.
What to Pack Guests should bring lightweight hiking shoes or boots, broad brimmed sun hats, sunglasses, layered clothing, reusable water bottle(s), a hiking day pack and hiking poles (optional)
Weather & Altitude While the itinerary is laid out below, we are at the mercy of the weather and so reserve the right to adjust the program as necessary. Please keep in mind that the higher elevations and possible variations in weather and temperature can increase the perceived level of difficulty of our activities. Elevation ranges up to 9,000 feet for Utah’s Mighty Five and up to 11,000 feet for California High Country Adventure.
Everyone reacts differently to altitude and so if you do have any health issues you should check with your doctor that this trip is suitable for you.
