Pyramids are great and temples amazing, but I believe more people would be interested in the agriculture, no wasted space, just amazing.
The tour director was very knowledgeable and gave us a wealth of information the food was great on the Nile cruise and the staff was always doing extra things for us. The places we saw were spectator in so many ways it was almost unbelievable. I am so glad I went and would recommend this trip. The bus drivers deserve a medal for driving in the streets of Cairo.
Tons of information! But to the point of exhaustion. Listening all day uses up a lot of brain energy. Our Egyptologist was a walking textbook. That said, I was in Egypt to learn. Early morning wake-up calls...usually 5:30 , 6:00 or 6:30 a.m. Would have preferred staying in Cairo at initial part of the trip. Probably would not book a trip like this again. Flying into Cairo and then out again early the next morning was tough. Stressful too if our Toronto-Cairo flight arrived late. This is called a 9 day tour. This is laughable. Day 1 ....arrive. Day 9...depart. Really??? Furthermore, the 9th day departure is not really 9th...it really is 8 1/2 as many flights, including mine, depart Cairo at 01:50 . I kept all my entrance stubs.....we went to 15 museums and temples. Although happy we did this, it was a tad ambitious. The best food was probably on the Medea. Very generous and good selection. Breads were excellent. Accomodation was good.
Our trips were well planned out and the guides were very knowledgeable on the history of Egypt. Accomidations were very nice from the hotel stays and the Nile River Cruise.
