Day 4
Onwards to Erfoud

Continuing along the palm-fringed Ziz Valley and past the Tafilalt oasis, we arrive in the oasis town of Erfoud, regarded as the 'Gateway to the Sahara'. Its golden façades and towering dunes have made it a popular location for filmmakers for decades. This evening we dine at our hotel.
We’ll take jeeps from our hotel and travel 50 km (8o miles) to the foot of the stunning sand dunes of the Sahara, arriving in time to witness the glorious desert sunset (or sunrise, depending on timing). Take a tour of the entire country, which took some time on the bus, nevertheless gave us a real picture of the whole country. I like that.
Our guide Hassan was outstanding. The consideration for our health and safety was greatly appreciated and he was able to answer our every question and convey his love for his country. The fellow travelers were great companions. Such good people.Thank you all.
This was such a Great Tour. The Driver was Great. The Tour Coordinator was the Best. And Morocco was a Pleasant Surprise. People, Food, Geography all Great.
This was an exceptional itinerary. We had lots of travel experiences and a just the right amount of down time. Our host was fabulous, hotels exceptional and the food excellent.
Trafalgar booked our trip out of Canada to Morocco. We flew from Regina to Calgary to Montreal to Casablanca. The travel agents should be aware that we flew over our home (near Regina) four hours after we left. We only had a wait of 1 hr. 10 minutes to catch our flight in Montreal (absolutely unrealistic) in Calgary our plane was late leaving because they were de-icing the wings. We RAN from our landing gate at number 4 to number 53 and I mean ran (the elderly people on that flight in no way made that flight). We got on the plane (my husband absolutely out of breath) and left 8 minutes later. You must realized that it is CANADA and we have SNOW! I am very disappointed in myself that I did not catch this glitch in the time restraint and ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTED WITH TRAFALGAR. We could have flown very easily from Regina to Toronto to Montreal to Casablanca. I would rather sit in an airport for hours than give my husband a near heart attack trying to get to a plane. Should we have missed the plane to Casablanca - then what - try and catch up with the trip!! My husband and I are very experienced at travelling, so this is also my fault in not double checking the flight arrangements. But - Please be aware of this when booking people on a WINTER flight. Sorry that was my rant - otherwise the trip in Casablanca was wonderful. Our guide was superb and took very good car of us. From the airport until we left he was very attentive and helpful in everyway. He really made the trip (kudos to Najib). The hotels were top top notch hotels. The experience in Morocco was captivating from the areas we drove through to the stops - they were fabulous. Very well organized and we felt very taken care of. We will definitely be booking with Trafalgar again to a destination we cannot drive in. But I will checking our flights much more carefully. Thank you for your attention!
I had a blast on the Best of Morocco trip. The itinerary was great, although a little too much time was spent on the bus. I would have given it 5-stars but the buffet dinners included with the package were awful and the lack of interaction with the hosts at the Be My Guest dinner was disappointing, although the food was excellent.
Yes I would use trafalgar. Full tour. Lots included. Excellent guide great hotels except for 1. Optional tours . Side trips to factories interesting except for the pharmacy visit. That was a waste of time.
